This is your chance to expand your Unreal Engine level-building skills!
In Brief #1, recently closed, we have learned how to build a virtual sci-fi outpost with Unreal Engine. Now, with this second Brief, you'll have the opportunity to expand your level-building skills by building an obstacle course for players to traverse.
Challenge 2 – A to B Speed run: Build an original obstacle course that will test the player’s platforming skills, challenging them to go from start to finish as fast as they can. Who will be the quickest?
Talenthouse is partnering with Flix Interactive on an Epic MegaGrant project in Unreal Engine. We have challenges coming your way every 2-3 months. Talenthouse is hosting these challenges, to support, educate and inspire Young Creatives. Unreal Engine is a game engine developed by Epic Games. It’s a "state-of-the-art engine and editor with photorealistic rendering, dynamic physics and effects, lifelike animation, robust data translation and much more".
Each brief will have 4x Selected Creators who will be chosen and receive $500 each.

Design and build your own challenging 3D platforming level using cutting-edge game development tech – Unreal Engine!
Design your level to help guide the player through your obstacle course
Build up the players' confidence by slowly increasing the difficulty throughout your level
Get creative with your use of the obstacles provided to you in this brief
Think like a game developer would – test your work regularly check how it looks from a gamer’s perspective and look out for any issues early!
Try to get others to play with your work too – collaboration will help you spot things you may have missed or generate interesting new ideas
Use checkpoints to avoid player frustration, but be mindful of overusing them!

Limit 15 submissions per creator or teams.
Please note, that during the Submission Period, your submission may be featured on Unreal Engine social media channels with credit given to you.
All submissions must be your own original work (meaning you are not allowed to use third party pre-existing copyright materials and/or stock imagery in your submission) except for the material provided by Unreal Engine.
Your work must be submitted in MP4 format, max. size 10 MB. Please retain your original source files in the highest quality possible. Please no static work.
Please add a short description in English explaining the inspiration behind your work. Please use the 'Say something about your submission' section within your submission.
