WHY DO YOU ENTER ARCHITECTURE COMPETITIONS?
Architecture competitions have been used throughout history to search for new talent and new ideas, for everything from classical works of architectural art to public spaces and modern monuments. Iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House, the Centre Georges Pompidou, and the UK Houses of Parliament were all architecture competition submissions.

For this annual essay competition, Buildner is asking participants to detail their views on the topic – of why enter architecture competitions. We’re looking for insightful essays that reflect on how architecture competitions can help architects and designers grow their skills and can help gain attention and recognition within the industry and for unique perspectives on how their own personal experience with architecture competitions has impacted their lives and their careers.

This print publication will be formatted in portrait orientation, A4 sheet size.

Submissions are to fill a maximum one spread. Images or graphics should be formatted in portrait orientation to fit a single A4 page, or formatted to be split on 2xA4 portrait-oriented sheets in a spread.

All submissions must be uploaded via the architecturecompetitions.com upload panel. Access information and instructions on how to upload the presentation panel will be issued to participants via email immediately after successful registration.

All submissions must be digital(所有提交必須是數位化):

1st Prize – 700 €
2nd Prize – 500 €

評選方式：

Buildner is committed to selecting the most qualified industry professionals to comprise its jury panels. Jury panels consist of architects, in addition to professionals from other professional backgrounds that are relevant to the competition topic, to guarantee the most objective competition results.
Buildner 將選擇最合格的行業專業人士來組成其評審團。評審團由建築師以及來自與比賽主題相關的其他專業背景的專業人士組成，以確保最客觀的比賽結果。
