2019 The 41st Annual Telly Award
A WELCOME LETTER FROM SABRINA DRIDJE
I’m thrilled to welcome you to the 41st Annual Telly Awards!
Last season saw us celebrate 40 years of honoring video and television across all screens and introduced new initiatives to ensure that we embraced the way work is being made now, today and in the near future. This year, we are continuing to highlight this along with the people, animators, editors, and the directors that tell great stories. For the past 41 years, Telly Winners have told great stories from across the world, from documentaries produced in London, to Branded Content created in Australia, VR series conceived in Paris, to television shows developed in LA. The 41st Annual Telly Awards will be no different. With this, we are excited to announce our theme for the year which encapsulates our core mission: Telly Award Winners Tell Great Stories.
With a continued commitment to honor work from all screens; from documentaries to branded content, television shows to digital series, we are excited to announce a new section: Immersive & Mixed Reality. Alongside our existing categories honoring VR, 360, and Interactive Video, new categories for AR and Volumetric Capture can also now be found. In addition to these new honors, we are also excited to welcome new categories across Diversity & Inclusion and Social Impact to recognize the amazing work that is supporting and highlighting themes that connect and affect us from across the globe.
Be sure to also take a look at the new members of the Telly Awards Judging Council, which this season includes leaders from Complex Networks, Division Sydney, Fortune, and Autodesk.
This season, we are once again bringing our hugely popular Film & Video Night to 7 cities around the world, showcasing work made for small screens on the big screen. Keep an eye out on social media and subscribe to our newsletter to receive an exclusive invite and discover Telly Award-winning work and meet with fellow video and television industry.
Last but not least! We will again be bestowing a Telly Company of the Year Award to the organization that will have had the most success across the competition. CBS Interactive took home the inaugural award. Will it be you this season?

WHAT WE HONOR/OUR HISTORY
The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 to honor excellence in local, regional and cable television commercials with non-broadcast video and television programming added soon after. With the recent evolution and rise of digital video (web series, VR, 360 and beyond), the Telly Awards today also reflects and celebrates this exciting new era of the moving image on and offline.
The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world. The Telly Awards recognizes work that has been created on the behalf of a client, for a specific brand and/or company (including your own) or self-directed as a creative endeavor.
The Telly Awards are judged by members of the Telly Awards Judging Council, a group of over 200+ working industry who have previously won the Telly Awards highest accolade and as such, have demonstrable expertise in the categories they review.
