天空設計獎創造了全球設計師與公司之間的合作機會。天空設計獎通過設計對話和體驗中心來增強設計專業人士的技能和創造力發展，促進交流機會。
參賽要求 :
改賽事僅接受在2019年3月1日至2021年3月之間完成的項目。

- 開始日期：2021年1月22日
- 早鳥截止日期：2021年2月5日
- 標準截止日期：2021年2月28日

2021 Sky Design Awards is now CALL FOR ENTRIES Call for Entry Deadline Extension
Thank you for your interest in Sky Design Awards 2021.
As we embark on our third year, the Sky Design Awards is excited to announce the addition of a new award, The New Black. The New Black Award is for young architects and designers ( under 38 ) OR small projects that push the boundaries of innovation to accomplish project goals in each of the four categories.
Companies and individuals are invited to submit their projects for the Sky Design Awards 2021 in the relevant categories. The shortlisted entries will culminate in the Sky Design Awards’ Gala Awards Ceremony in Tokyo where the winners will be announced, followed by an Exhibition, Design Symposium in November & December 2021. The competition is open to all practices in Architecture, Interior Design, Visual & Graphics Design, and Industrial Design projects completed between March 1, 2019 – March 2021.
The submission deadline is now has been extended to March 21, 2020, for projects relevant to the following four divisions:
Architecture Division
Category examples:
Commercial, Retail & Office/Hotel & Resort/ Infrastructure/Institution & Educational/ Transportation Hub/ Public Space/ Remodelled Heritage ( conservation )/ Residential and Urban Design/Green & Sustainable designs
Interior Design Division
Category examples:
Commercial and Office/ Hotel and Resort/ Institution/ Retail Design/ Pop-Up/ Residential/ Leisure and wellness/ transportation hub/ Lighting and Furniture design/Green & Sustainable designs
Visual & Design Business Division ( including exhibition )
Category examples:
Pop-Up Design/ Graphic Design/ Corporate Identity Design/ Multimedia ( Exhibition Design )/ Signage Design and Photography ( Interior and Architectural ).
Industrial Design Division ( including furniture )
Category examples:
Home Furniture Design/ Office Furniture Design/ Lighting Design & Fixture/ Audio Design/ Household Products/ Home Decor Accessories/ Tableware/ Stationary
Awards and Prizes:
Gold, Silver and Bronze winners for each category will be awarded a trophy and a certificate along with editorial/s in Merci Magazine, international media exposure, social media post/s and a listing on the SKY Bridge business to business platform. Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will have a special feature in the SKY Design Awards 2021 Almanac.
All Shortlisted entrants receive a certificate and will be showcased in the SKY Design Awards 2021 Almanac.
Special Project Prize/s: brand collaboration, project hiring and cooperation with international companies to be announced soon.
The New Black Award
The New Black is a new award designed to discover and recognize young architects and designers, or small projects such as pop-up, residential, or retail shops project sizes up to 50m2 ( 540 ft² ).
*The New Black entrants must be either under 38 years of age OR the project submitted must be less than 50m2 ( with no age limitation ).
Submissions are carefully evaluated by a Judging Panel comprised of the most esteemed architects and interior designers based on:
- 25%: Originality and Creativity
- 25%: Appearance
- 20%: Constructability
- 20%: Commercial value
- 10%: Sustainability
Visual & Graphics and Industrial Design
- 50% Originality and creativity
- 25% Appearance
- 15% Commercial value
- 10% Composition

- SDA Early bird call for entries: Now – February 05, 2021
- SDA Regular call for entries: February 06 – February 28, 2021
- SDA Online judging process: May 01 – 22, 2021
- SDA Shortlist Announcement: June 11, 2021
- SDA Ceremony ( Tokyo, Japan ): November 26, 2021
- SDA Design Symposium ( Tokyo, Japan ): November 27, 2021
- SDA Exhibition ( Tokyo, Japan ): December 4 – 8, 2021
- SDA Exhibition ( Other Counties ): TBC
An update about Sky Design Awards 2020 – COVID-19
The declaration of COVID‑19 as a pandemic is having an impact on our lives and business operations globally. All of us are feeling unsettled and anxious to different degrees, especially as we face unknown changes to our daily routines and future plans.
The Sky Design Awards Committee will continue to monitor and assess the updates provided by different countries and public health regulations and policies. This information will guide our approach and help ensure we take the steps that best protect our partners and all who support the Sky Design Awards.
