為什麼要舉辦「 MEETING POINT」概念設計競賽？
WHY HOLD THE “MEETING POINT” GLOBAL CONCEPT DESIGN COMPETITION?
傳統的「 meeting point」正在“消失”，很多人對已有的「 meeting point」視而不見。智能手機似乎無所不能，人們很難在簡單的物理空間裡迷失方向。
策劃「meeting point」概念設計競賽的初衷是期望通過重新思考和創作來賦予傳統的「meeting point」一些新功能、新活力……
怎樣設計未來的「 meeting point」？一個標志性很強的藝術裝置？還是一個很有趣味性、可以互動的智能建築設計模塊？
人類生活的地球，各種災難頻發生，是否需要思考在沒有電力、通訊信號、網絡等，一些特定環境下的「meeting point」是否可以是臨時的安全避難所？
期望這次「meeting point」概念設計競賽能激發設計師的創作熱情，就這個概念設計競賽主題開展深入的思考與大膽創作。
The traditional “meeting point” is disappearing, and many people turn a blind eye to the existing “meeting point”. Smartphones seem to be omnipotent. and it is difficult to lose their way in simple physical spaces.
“meeting point” concept design competition is to give the traditional “meeting point” some new functions and new vitality through re-thinking and re-design…
How to design the future “meeting point”? It is an iconic art installation? Or is it a very interesting and interactive intelligent building module?
Now we could see that various disasters happen frequently. Do we need to think about whether the “meeting point” in some specific environments can be a temporary safe refuge in the absence of electricity, communication signals, networks, etc.?
It is hoped that the “meeting point” conceptual design competition could stimulate designers’ creative enthusiasm, and carry out in-depth thinking and bold creation on the theme of this conceptual design competition.

王受之 / SHOUZHI WANG
正教授，副院長，創意與藝術學院，上海科技大學
王受之，美籍華人，1946 年出生於廣州，現代設計理論和歷史專家，中國現代設計教 育的奠基人之一。
1980 年代在廣州美術學院協同創立了工業設計專業，並且開創了現代設計史課程; 1990-2011 年在洛杉磯的藝術中心設計學院(Art Center College of Design)擔任設計理論 教授;
2011-2018 年擔任汕頭大學長江藝術與設計學院院長;
2019 年開始擔任上海科技大學創意與藝術學院副院長。
他曾在中央美術學院、中國美術學院、上海美術學院、魯迅美術學院、澳門科技大學分 別擔任博士生、碩士生導師或者教授課程。他是光華龍騰獎中國設計貢獻獎金獎獲得者。

Shouzhi Wang is one of the most important founders of modern design and the education of modern design in China. Since 1980s, he has been extensively engaged in teaching, textbook-writing, academic research, advocacy for the reform of education systems, planning and organization of large-scale events and activities, education of graduate programs and international exchange activities. He was a tenured professor at ArtCenter College of Design and the former Dean of Cheung Kong School of Art & Design, Shantou University. As an internationally renowned designer and design historian, he has participated in the planning and design of hundreds of prominent projects and authored publications of more than ten million words. He has been appointed Vice Dean of School of Creativity and Art of ShanghaiTech University since September 2019.
陳雄 /XIONG CHEN
全國工程勘察設計大師，現任廣東省建築設計研究院有限公司董事、副院長、總建築師。陳雄先生從事建築設計工作超過35年，擔任了廣東省大灣區多項大型重點公共建築項目的設計負責人，包括廣州白雲國際機場T1/T2/T3航站樓、深圳機場衛星廳、珠海機場T2航站樓、廣州亞運主場館、肇慶新區體育中心、珠海橫琴保利中心等，曾榮獲全國優秀設計金獎等多項各類行業獎項。
Mr. Chen Xiong, a National Engineering Survey and Design Master, currently serves as Director, Vice President & Chief Architect of Architectural Design & Research Institute of Guangdong Province. With over 35 years of extensive experience in architectural design, Mr. Chen has directed designs of numerous key public building projects in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Guangdong Province, including T1, T2 and T3 of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Shenzhen Airport Satellite Terminal, T2 of Zhuhai Airport, Guangzhou Asian Games Gymnasium, Zhaoqing New Area Sports Center, and Zhuhai Hengqin Poly International Plaza, which won various industry awards including Gold Prize of National Design Excellence Award.
MARK DYTHAM
Mark Dytham 是Klein Dytham Architecture 的聯合創始人，Klein Dytham Architecture是一個跨學科的、在東京的建築設計事務所 。
Mark Dytham畢業於英國皇家藝術學院，1989 年移居東京，加入日本伊東豐雄（ Toyo Ito）建築師事務所。 兩年後，他與合夥人 Astrid Klein 成立了 KDa(Klein Dytham Architecture)。 KDa屢獲殊榮，完成了眾多建築、品牌活動、家具、藝術裝置和室內項目，包括曼谷的 Open House、Ginza Place 和 日本的六個蔦屋書店。
2013 年，Klein 和 Dytham 推出了 Pecha Kucha創意分享活動，這是一個讓東京年輕設計師見面和分享作品的活動。 該活動現已擴展到全球 1300 個城市，為設計師創建了一個國際網絡。Dytham 曾在多個國際設計活動中發言，並在日本和世界各地的大學任教。
Tokyo-based Mark Dytham is co-founder of multidisciplinary architecture studio Klein Dytham Architecture.
Royal College of Art graduate Mark Dytham moved to Tokyo in 1989 to join architecture studio Toyo Ito. He formed KDa(Klein Dytham Architecture) with partner Astrid Klein two years later. KDa has created architecture, events, furniture, art installations and interior projects including Open House in Bangkok, Ginza Place, and T-Site Tsutaya bookstores in Japan.
In 2013, Klein and Dytham launched Pecha Kucha, an event for young designers in Tokyo to meet and share work. The programme has now expanded to over 1300 cities worldwide, creating an international network for designers.
Dytham has spoken at multiple international design events and teaches at universities in Japan and worldwide.

致力於體育建築、城市設計相關研究與工程實踐。獲美國建築學會波士頓分會 “可持續規劃優秀獎”和多項國家城市規劃獎；完成廣州琶洲、廣州南沙靈山島片區城市設計與控規優化工作擔任地區城市總設計師。

Mr. Sun graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology (1992), was a SPURS senior visiting scholar at MIT and worked in SASAKI Company (1995-1997). He has been dedicated to sports architecture, urban design related research and engineering practice. He has been appointed Architectural Society of America Boston Chapter “Sustainable Planning Excellence Award” and a number of national Urban Planning Awards. Mr. Sun has directed designs of numerous famous building projects in the urban design and control planning optimization of Pazhou, Guangzhou and Lingshan Island, Nansha, Guangzhou, and served as the chief urban designer of the region.

如何提交參賽設計作品
HOW TO SUBMIT DESIGN WORKS
1. 「meeting point」概念設計競賽公開面向全球招募， 沒有資質限制。
2. 點擊鏈接下載參賽設計A1 （841mm x 594mm) 參賽模版；
3. 參賽者將一個參賽設計方案安排在一張A1 （841mm x 594mm) 參賽模版裡；每個參賽者最多可以提交三個參賽設計作品，每個參賽作品一張 A1 (841mm x 594mm) 展示；
4. 提交的參賽作品jpg文件至少dpi 300；
5. 參賽者用文字來描述參賽作品「meeting point」的使用環境， 例如，在郊野公園 、街區廣場、 商業中心、 航站樓、碼頭、博物館美術館、學校、街道等等；
6. 所有文字說明與標注均採用英文；
7. 參賽者聯系方式留在A1參賽模版的最下面；
8. 製作一段三維設計動畫（20-30秒） ， 這是加分項，不是必須提交項；
9. 提交參賽作品的專用郵箱： meeting.point@architechcn.com
10. 報名/提交時間：2021年11月4日至12月30日；

1. The competition was free-to-enter and open to all architects, designers ,engineers and students.
2. Click hereto Download the contest design A1 (841mm x 594mm) template ;
3. Participants will arrange a design proposal in an A1 (841mm x 594mm) entry template; each participant can submit up to three entries, and each entry will be displayed with an A1 (841mm x 594mm);
4. The submitted jpg files of the entries must be at least dpi 300;
5. Participants use words to describe the environment in which the entry “meeting point” is used, for example, in country parks, block squares, commercial centers,terminals, piers, museums, art galleries, schools, streets, etc.;
6. All text descriptions are in English;
7. The contact information of the contestants is left at the bottom of the A1 contest template;
8. Make a three-dimensional design animation (20-30 seconds), this is a bonus item,it is not a mandatory item;
9. Submit works by email to meeting.point@architechcn.com
10. Register/Submit time: November 3 to December 30, 2021;

ABOUT THE COPYRIGHT OF THE PARTICIPATING DESIGN WORKS
所有參賽設計作品的版權歸參賽者所有。
主辦方要使用參賽者的參賽設計作品做展覽，需經過參賽者的郵件同意。
The copyright of all participating designs belongs to the participants.
If the organizer wants to use the participating design works of the contestant for exhibition, it shall be approved by the contestant’s email.
