Tips for a quasi perfect submission
Poetry & Art are one.
So, treat your visual artwork like a poem and your statement of creative intent like an artwork. Write beautifully, clearly, passionately.
The curators expect your art to be transcendental.
We are interested in Transcendence. The word “transcendence” describes the existential process leading to mastery of opposites/paradoxes, i.e., a journey from
- weakness to strength,
- separation tounion,
- duality to oneness,
- obscurity to light,
- the relative to the absolute;
- humanity todivinity.
So, transcendence istransformative and life-affirming. It may start with negation/chaos and transit through awe, but it always ends withWonder, Knowledge, Strength, Triumph.
The curators expect you to be knowledgeable.
You need toknow what Axis Mundi representsand own the concept in your submitted artwork and statement of creative intent.We expect candidates with a marked symbolic sensitivity and a strong interest in mythology.
The curators are sensitive to technical skills, aesthetics, and uniqueness in expression.
Revue {R}évolution is a polymath review, a scholars’ magazine of Poetry-Art.
Universalism and subtle transmission of knowledge is what we are all about. We recommend that you take the time to read our review to make sure we are a good fit.
