2022 PAVE RISING STAR AWARD

The PAVE Rising Star award is back again! The industry looks forward to celebrating an individual who has made a significant impact in the retail arena throughout these ever-evolving times.

A Rising Star is a young professional who has exhibited outstanding leadership in the brand environment industry. These emerging leaders anticipate client needs, motivate a team, transform the simple into the extraordinary, and inspire the consumer. This year’s Rising Star should also have shown the ability to pivot, stay inspired, and engage others while navigating the current state of flux in retail design.

RECOMMEND A RISING STAR

A great leader can easily recognize another great leader. Retailers, designers, and industry suppliers are invited to nominate individuals for this year’s PAVE Rising Star award. PAVE is looking for young innovative visionaries who are respected by their peers. If you have worked with a young professional who exhibits such traits, show them that they’re admired by nominating them.

Nominations are free and they can motivate a nominee to do even more great things. Gather some of their work and tell us why you think they should become the next PAVE Rising Star!

The PAVE Rising Star judges are looking for individuals who are original, passionate visionaries. A Rising Star should have shown the ability to implement an inventive design strategy that accommodates a current and post-pandemic retail space. They have created safe and rich experiential retail environments that have drawn customers back to shop their brand whether virtually or in brick-and-mortar spaces. A Rising Star nominee is also intuitive in decision-making, willing to take risks, ambitious, persistent, resourceful, and socially responsible. They demonstrate authenticity in their designs and can implement sustainable projects.

NOMINATION DETAILS

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Nominees may be from your own organization or another.
• Nominees must be engaged in the design or supply of retail environments. This includes designers, visual merchandisers, store planners, and project managers.
• Nominees must be 40 years of age or younger as of December 2022.
• Nominations must be submitted by a retailer, design firm, or industry supplier.

NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS

• Attach three to five supporting materials that demonstrate what makes the nominee a rising star. Provide descriptions of images, including program intent and a brief line on its success.
• There is no fee to make a nomination.

JUDGING

All nominations will be reviewed by a panel of industry professionals. PAVE will contact the senior management for all finalists for employment verification and any additional input as needed.

PRESENTATION OF AWARDS

All finalists will be recognized this December during the PAVE Galaon December 8, 2022, in New York City where the winner will be announced.
