競賽主題

主題不限，人身攻擊或對某些族群攻擊及有害善良風俗等作品將不受理。

參賽辦法

1. 以3-9個圖樣構成作品，可使用照片、影片、gif檔或沒有版權爭議的聲音檔。
2. 請使用法文、英文或無文字對白表示。
3. 請將參賽作品放在您的Instagram平台上，在貼文中加上 #FIBDchallenge2023並 標註 @bdangouleme

※完成以上步驟者才能參賽。

評選標準

希望能看到創作者能用充滿新意的方式創作數位漫畫，同時也會就作品的美術風格與敘事手法等來評斷。

獎勵方式

初選階段：評審將選出十強，作品將在安古蘭漫畫節期間在新秀獎展館展出，也將同時在網路上展示六個月。主辦單位將透過Instagram聯絡前十強。

決選階段：將從十強中選出前三名。首獎：500歐元、二獎：300歐元、三獎：100歐元，獎金將在2023年6月30日前匯到得獎者的帳戶，前三名均將獲贈法國境內到安古蘭二等車廂來回車票、安古蘭漫畫節pass與民宿。

競賽其他七強將獲贈安古蘭四日通行證。

主辦單位將邀請首獎得主設計下一年度數位漫畫競賽視覺圖樣。

FIBD Challenge 2023 #FIBDchallenge2023 CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS

Art.1: The limited liability company 9e Art+ (capital of 10,000 euros, headquartered at 71 rue Hergé, 16000 Angoulême, France), registered with the Angoulême Trade and Companies Register (French RCS) under number B 499 371 433, 2013, is the organizer of the Angoulême International Comics Festival and of an international contest entitled ‘FIBD Challenge 2022’ starting on 15 June 2022. All submissions must be made on or before 9 November 2022 at midnight.

Art.2: This contest is free of charge and open to comics artists from the world over, aged 18 years or more.

Art.3: Participants are required to post on Instagram a digital comic strip in French, English, or wordless, in a minimum of three and a maximum of ten images (photos, videos, animated gifs, sounds, etc.), with a start and an end. Applicants can choose whichever format they prefer. All comic styles and genres are allowed, provided they are compliant with public order and ethics.

PLEASE NOTE: The Festival declines all liability in the case of a post removed by Instagram on the grounds of being potentially offensive.

Art.4: Participants will be able to follow the official Instagram account of the Angoulême International Comics Festival and post their works with the tag @bdangouleme and the hashtag #FIBDchallenge2022. Any work submitted after midnight on 9 November 2022 shall not be accepted. Moreover, any work posted and deleted from the Instagram platform shall automatically be deemed null and void and as such shall not be accepted.

Only the works that comply with the aforementioned rules (i.e. posted on Instagram with the relevant # and @) shall be part of the contest list.

Any participant whose submitted data is non-compliant, incomprehensible, incomplete, and/or within non-compliant or illegible files shall be ruled out.

Art.5: A Jury of Professionals will select ten comic strips among the works made available and maintained online. Then, the Jury shall elect three winners (among the ten selected) according to the following selection criteria: storyline and narrative, composition and design/graphics, relevance, the modernity of the take on digital comics, and the use of digital tools.

Art.6: The prizes awarded within this contest are as follows: a €500 grant for the ‘FIBD Challenge 2023’ grand winner, a €300 grant for the first runner-up winner and a €100 grant for the second runner-up winner. The grants shall be paid by 30 June 2022 by the company 9e Art+.

In addition, the grand winner will be commissioned to design the visual branding of the following year‘s #FIBDchallenge Contest, as well as visual content to promote the works via the digital application at the Pavillon Jeunes Talents® venue.

The three winners will be invited to Angoulême from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 January 2023 (homestay accommodation and transport – on the basis of a second-class SNCF train ticket from the station closest to the selected candidates’ place of residence – shall be financed by 9e Art+, without any monetary requirement on the part of the selected candidates other than living expenses). The other seven selected participants shall each be given a 4-day pass to the Festival.

Art.7: The works of the ten selected candidates will be showcased in a digital exhibition held at the Pavillon Jeunes Talents® from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 January 2023. Meanwhile, the works will remain available online on the Festival website, where they will be put forth for 6 months. The authorization to upload the works online shall be granted for the entire duration of the intellectual property rights of the comic authors.

Art.8: Insofar as all candidates send their application by e-mail, they hereby acknowledge having read and accepted the present Rules and Regulations. The comic authors expressly authorize the company 9e Art+ to reproduce their comic strip (in whole or in part) on all communication media, and in particular on the Angoulême International Comics Festival’s website and social media channels.

Art.9: The company 9e Art+ reserves the right to shorten, extend, modify, and/or cancel the contest if circumstances so require or in the case of force majeure. It shall not be held liable in such events.

Art. 10 : The present Rules and Regulations are filed with court bailiff SCP ZERDOUN & DEENEN-LAURAIN, 16 rue de la Tourgarnier – 16000 ANGOULEME. The Rules and Regulations may be amended at any time in the form of an amendment by the organizer.

Art. 11: The simple fact of participating in the contest implies acceptance, without reserve, of the present Rules and Regulations in their entirety. Any inaccurate or misleading statement and/or any fraud shall result in the participant’s immediate disqualification.

Art. 12: All participants are subject to the French Law applicable to games and contests. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably shall be referred to the competent courts designated under the French Code of Civil Procedure.

Art. 13: Any personal information collected in the context of the contest shall be processed in accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978. In application of the aforementioned Act, all contest participants have the right to access and rectify their personal data.

Art. 14: In accordance with the laws that govern literary and artistic property rights, any reproduction and/or representation of all or part of the elements of this contest is strictly prohibited. All brands mentioned are the registered trademarks of their respective owners.
