INTRODUCTION

The 2023 edition of Mobileheroes – Connectivity Innovation Challenge aims at introducing the revolutionary concepts of new businesses with high technological and innovative content – Startups and SMEs, to the Taiwan ICT industry.

The sectors we are focusing on are creative solutions/services in the areas such as 5G, IoT, artificial intelligence etc….

The solutions/services must be realistic and feasible for expansion to a global market.
The solutions/services must have a business plan to commercialize.

Eligibility

Startups and SMEs
Participant(s) can join Mobileheroes 2023 as an individual or company/ team (up to 5 people), but only one entry can be submitted.
A higher score will be given if the work is better developed and entails higher feasibility of commercialization in Taiwan

What We Offer

assistance in finding counterparties to facilitate industrial, technological, commercial, strategic and financial partnerships
a mentoring program with mentors coming from professionals and entrepreneurs
a USD$30,000 and USD$15,000 cash grant awarded to the top two businesses
participation in Mobileheroes’ annual Award Ceremony & networking events to meet potential partners in Taiwan

Registration document submission specifications (Mandatory)

Proposal

Pitch deck ( within 10 pages, and please note that the language must be English)
Please put your registration number (you will receive one after you sign up on our website) and your team name as your file name when you upload (ex. C200001+ Alpha.pdf).
Make sure to explain your product/solutions’ innovativeness, technology readiness, business potential, plans for sustainable development and how wireless communications is important in your proposal.

Video demonstration

Within 3 minutes, please provide the link after you upload to any digital video platform (YouTube, vimeo…etc.)
1080p resolution is recommended for better viewing quality
Make sure to have a clear audio

Criteria for preliminary selection

Innovativeness (20%)

Does this product/ solution solve or improve an existing problem?
Are there similar products/ solutions available in the market? What makes your products/ solutions stand out?

Technology readiness (30%)

Is the actual technology completed and qualified through tests and demonstrations or proven through successful deployment in an operational setting?
If not yet, is the prototype ready for demonstration in an appropriate operational environment?

Business Potential (30%)

Does this product/ solution have enough market relevance and business potential for future growth?

Sustainable development (20%)

Could this product/ solution enable sustainable development?

A higher score will be given if the work is better developed and entails higher feasibility of commercialization in Taiwan.

Travel Reimbursement**	The teams that pass the preliminary selection will be reimbursed for its actual expenses (up to USD1,500 / team ) for the accommodation / flight tickets to Taiwan for attending the demo / award ceremony

*For the quality of the Competition, the judging panel is entitled to make adjustments to the number of and awards for the selected teams.

** We are very glad that most countries no longer have travel restrictions in place (including Taiwan!). This year, Mobileheroes would like to encourage international teams to visit Taiwan for the final demo and awarding ceremony. For the finalists who are based abroad and would like to attend the final demo and awarding ceremony physically, they will be reimbursed for their flight and / or accommodation costs to Taiwan with their receipts. ( up to USD1,500 / team )
