｢The Caring Town｣Ideenskizze für den städtebaulichen Wettbewerb Quartier Backnang West 2050
競賽背景
德國巴克南市（City of Backnang）與2027年國際建築展覽會（International Building Exhibition 2027 ）共同發起了“關愛小鎮：巴克南西部社區2050城市設計競賽”（Urban Planning Competition Backnang West Neighborhood 2050 – the Caring Town）。競賽的目的是在巴登-符騰堡的雷姆斯穆爾區（Rems-Murr district in Baden-Württemberg）擁有3.7萬居民的巴克南鎮（Backnang）的一處原工業用地上，設計一個宜居、經得起未來考驗的城市社區概念方案。
自2019年以來，佔地約16.7公頃巴克南西部社區就一直是2027國際建築展網絡的一部分。
競賽是單階段的、非公開的城市規劃競賽，將會有初選的過程，之後會選擇24個參賽團隊獲准參加比賽。這24名參賽者中有6組由比賽組織者提前挑選，這提前入選6組團隊分別是：Helmut Jahn, JAHN（美國），MVRDV（荷蘭），Herzog & De Meuron（瑞士），KCAP Architects & Planners（荷蘭），Cobe（丹麥），Steidle Architekten（待定，德國），另外18名將從提交的設計提案中擇優選擇。

Kurzbeschreibung: Ziel des Wettbewerbs ist es, radikale Ideen für ein lebenswertes und zukunftsfähiges Stadtquartier auf einem ehemals industriell genutzten Areal der 37.000 Einwohner zählenden Stadt Backnang im baden-württembergischen Rems-Murr-Kreis zu entwickeln. Das ca. 16,7 Hektar große Quartier Backnang West ist seit 2019 Teil des Netzes der Internationalen Bauausstellung 2027 StadtRegion Stuttgart. Es wurde von der Stadt Backnang eingereicht.
Competition process: The competition is organised as a one-stage, non-open urban planning competition with an upstream selection process. A total of 24 participants are admitted to the competition. The competition organiser selects 6 participants in advance. Another 18 participants qualify based on their convincing ideas. The process is anonymous.
Deadline ideas competition: 4 June 2020, 4 pm
Selection of sketch qualifications: 23 June 2020, 9 am
Award for ideas competition: The 18 selected participants receive a remuneration of 2.000 € including VAT.
Estimated processing period for urban planning competition: July – October 2020, (WN 28 – WN 43)
Participants: Urban planners and architects, also in combination with landscape architects and mobility experts.
Award for urban planning competition: 1st prize EUR 48,000, 2nd prize EUR 30,000, 3rd prize EUR 18,000, Distinctions EUR 24,000
