Open call to artists 18 years and older for Camelback Gallery’s 5th annual My Best Work Competition. Please submit work completed in 2022. We are looking for the art you feel was your BEST THIS YEAR! All styles and subject matter allowed. Jurors will be looking for Originality, Quality of Work and Technical Skill.

Mediums to be considered but not limited to: Colored Pencil, Scratchboard, Encaustic, Mixed Media, Gouache, Oil, Acrylic, Pastel, Watercolor, Airbrush, Fiber, Sculpture, Collage, Digital Art and Photography.

We do not sell artwork, if you are an award recipient we promote your work. If we have sale inquiries we will have the buyer contact the artist directly.

This is a competition, only the award recipients will be in the online group exhibition. The selection of artwork will be chosen by three art industry professional who will select and vote on the artwork for the exhibition.

「my best work of 2022」International Juried Visual Arts Competition

Competition Rules, Copyright and Usage

Artist Entry Requirements:

Entries must follow each individual competition theme and choice of medium requirement
Competitions are open to all artists
Competitions are international
Artists 18 years old and older may apply. (unless it’s a children’s competition)
Files must be in JPG format
Files may not exceed 3MB
Images must be “professionally presented” – cropped, no glare, no frames, no watermarks.
Each piece must be an original or a sold original, completed preferable in the last 3 years
Entry fee based on the competition

As a rule: No nudity, (private parts must be covered) profanity and political artwork will not be accepted for jury.

We do not sell artwork. Our #1 priority is promoting your work! Your artwork does not have to be for sale. All exhibitions are held online/virtual only.

Jury Selection:

Jury Selection begins 7 days after final entry date and ends 15 days after final entry date. Award recipients are the entered into an online group award exhibition and is published approximately 3 weeks after final entry date.

The Jurors and Jury Process:

The Jurors of the art competition are 2 to 4 professionals in the art industry. See our list.

The artwork selected for the award exhibition will be based on a criteria of theme or medium. Along with the criteria, the jurors look for originality, technical skill and quality of work. Of those artworks selected for the award exhibition, we try to show the best of as many different genres and varied mediums as possible. We want the award exhibition to be an enjoyable, amazing experience for our artists, members, guests and buyers, so we try to display the best representation of artistic form, style, and media. Also, as a reminder, this is a competition, the jurors will select the best art pieces for the exhibition, so not all entries will be included.

Copyright:

The artist retains all copyrights to their artwork without exception.

Non-exclusive Permissions:

By entering this art competition, you are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork on Camelbackgallery.com and in the marketing of the art competitions to the public by publishing the winners on Facebook and Instagram as well as other media outlets. Camelback Gallery also has permission to crop or re-size images to fit the needs of those media outlets. All winning entries will be displayed on Camelbackgallery.com. Each image becomes part of the public archival online exhibition catalog for up to one year.
