A/B類接受印刷海報。( 2018年5月1日之後的作品 )

A/B類申請人不需要特別資格,也沒有年齡限制。

A/B組參賽作品須不小於36.4釐米x51.5釐米( 14.3英吋x20.3英吋 ),參賽作品大小不得超過180.0 cm x120.0 cm( 70.9英吋x47.3英吋 ),參賽作品必須滿足以下兩類之一:

( A )印刷海報在任何主題。每個申請人最多可提交5份文件。這些可能是海報為客戶製作,自己製作的海報,出版的海報,或未出版的海報。

( B )自行印製以“Invisible”為主題的海報。最多3份,B類參賽作品必須包括:

1 )標明“IPT2021”( 表示該作品為IPT2021提交 )

2 )“Invisible”這個詞

沒有規定的位置,大小或字體的任何這些符號。“Invisible”可以用大寫或小寫字母、片假名等書寫。這兩種符號可以合併成一行,比如“Invisible. IPT2021”。

U30+學生組別

U30 +學生類別接受數字提交。

1.任何年齡在30歲或以下的申請人都有資格參加這個類別

2.年齡在30歲以上的學生也可以參加。

※向U30+學生類別提交作品的申請人,也可以向A / B類別提交作品

申請者在提交作品時符合下列兩項條件之一者均可參加此類別:

1、年齡30歲或以下( 1990年或以後出生 )。沒有其他特殊要求。

2 )申請人目前是某教育機構的學生。對於學生,沒有年齡限制。( 請在報名表上填寫你就讀的學校名稱。 )

3.投稿數量不超過3件

A/B類需要提交實物海報和報名表到組委會規定的地址,

U30+學生組需要提交電子文件CD-Rs形式給組委會

PURPOSE

This exhibition of posters chosen from throughout the world is intended to provide a review of the current state of international poster design.

All submissions must be the work of the applicant.

All submissions must be posters produced on or after May 1, 2018.

Category A/B accepts printed poster submissions, and the U30+Student Category accepts digital poster submissions.

SCREENINGS

The first screening, conducted by the National Jury, will select posters to be displayed in the exhibition.

The Category A/B first screening will be conducted upon the printed poster submissions, and the U30+Student Category first screening will be conducted upon B1-size prints of submissions selected at a pre-screening of the digital submissions.

The second screening, conducted by the International Jury, will determine the prize-winning works in each category.

We are currently in the process of determining our international jury panel.

In the event that COVID-19 makes it difficult to invite judges from overseas, the National Jury will determine the prize-winning works.

[Category A/B:ENTRY GUIDELINES]

Category A/B accepts printed posters.

No special qualifications are required for Category A/B applicants, and there are no age restrictions. All Category A/B applicants are asked to read the [For all categories:ENTRY REQUIREMENTS] and [Category A/B] entry requirement sections carefully, in addition to the ENTRY RULES detailed at the end of this document.

Eligibility

No special qualifications are required for Category A/B applicants, and there are no age restrictions.

Size / Categories / Category Themes

Category A/B submissions should be no smaller than 36.4 cm×51.5 cm ( 14.3 inches×20.3 inches ) and no larger than 180.0 cm×120.0 cm ( 70.9 inches×47.3 inches ), and submissions must fall into one of the following two categories:

( A ) Printed posters on any theme. Up to 5 submissions per applicant. These may be posters produced for a client, self-produced posters, published posters, or unpublished posters. ( B ) Self-produced, printed posters on the theme of “Invisible.” Up to 3 submissions per applicant.Category B submissions must include:

1 ) The credit line “IPT2021” ( to indicate that the work is an IPT2021 submission ) 2 ) The word “Invisible”

There are no stipulations regarding the placement, size or font of either of these notations. “Invisible” may be written in upper or lower-case letters, katakana characters, etc.

These two notations may be combined into a single line, such as “Invisible. IPT2021”.

Category A/B: Number of Submissions

No more than five per an artist or a group in Category A, and no more than three per an artist or a group in Category B.

A single set of up to three posters may be submitted as a single work. However, prizes may be awarded on a partial basis to one or two of the posters in a set.

[ENTRY GUIDELINES ( U30+Student Category )]

The U30+Student Category accepts digital submissions.

Any applicant age 30 or under is eligible to participate in this category, although applicants above the age of 30 may also participate if they are currently enrolled as a student. All U30+Student category applicants are asked to read the [For all categories:ENTRY

REQUIREMENTS] and [ENTYR GUIDELINES ( Category U30+Student ] entry requirement sections carefully, in addition to the ENTRY RULES detailed at the end of this document.

This recent category was established at the IPT2018 to encourage members of the younger generation aged 30 or under to participate in the IPT.

As of the IPT2021, we have expanded eligibility to also include applicants over the age of 30 provided that they are currently enrolled as a student.

※ Applicants submitting works to the U30+Student Category may also submit works to Category A/B.

Eligibility

An applicant who fulfills either of the following two conditions during the submission acceptance period may participate in this category:

1 ) The applicant is age 30 or under ( born in or after 1990 ). There are no other special requirements. 2 ) The applicant is currently enrolled as a student at an educational institution. For students, there are no age restrictions. ( Please enter the name of your educational institution on the entry form. )

Category Theme

– Poster on the theme of “Invisible.” U30+Student submissions must include:

1 ) The credit line “IPT2021” ( to indicate that the work is an IPT2021 submission ) 2 ) The word “Invisible”

There are no stipulations regarding the placement, size or font of either of these notations. “Invisible” may be written in upper or lower-case letters, boldfacetype,katakana characters, etc. These two notations may be combined into a single line, such as “Invisible. IPT2021”.

U30+Student Submission Format ( Digital Files )

– U30+Student Category posters must be submitted as digital files.

– Digital submissions should be saved in the below format on a CD-R, which should be sent by post along with the applicant’s entry form and comp of each file ( one A4-size comp for each entry. ). Digital file format: 300dpi JPG ( CMYK color mode ) ( printed image dimensions: 103.0 x 72.8 cm ) – The U30+Student screening will be conducted as follows:

[Pre-screening]: A pre-screening by National Jury will be conducted to select works from the digital submissions.

[National Jury screening]: The National Jury screening will be conducted upon 103.0 x 72.8 cm prints of the submissions selected at the pre-screening.

– Applicants will entrust any and all decisions regarding the printing of the selected posters to the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art and Design. We will not accept any requests from applicants to check or proof posters, nor will we accept any specifications regarding paper or printing method.

Number of Submissions ( U30+Student Category ) No more than three per an artist or a group.

A single set of up to three posters may be submitted as a single work.

However, prizes may be awarded on a partial basis to one or two of the posters in a set. ※ Applicants submitting works to the U30+Student Category may also submit works to Category A/B.

[ENTRY RULES ( for all categories )]

1. All information on the entry forms and poster labels must be printed legibly.

– Category A/B: The poster label should be pasted at the top right-hand corner on the reverse side of the poster.

– U30+Student Category: The number of each digital file should correspond with the poster number on the entry form.

2. Applicants must include an English translation of their poster title( s ) on the entry form.

3. Information submitted on entry forms will be used in the IPT2021 catalogue.

As a rule, we do not accept changes to this information, so please enter it carefully.

4. For Category A/B, the entry form must be sent with the poster submission( s ).

For the U30+Student Category, the entry form must be sent with the CD-R.

5. By entering this contest, applicants understand and agree that the IPT organizer has the right to photograph and/or reproduce images of their submissions for the IPT catalogue and ( non- commercial ) promotional purposes of the IPT exhibition.

Applicants also agree that these images may be used for other museum purposes, including media reports, publicity and contest records, and may be shared via websites and other social media.

6. Posters and CD-R discs which have been submitted to the IPT contest are not returnable.

To prevent usage of data on U30+Student submission CD-Rs for purposes other than those outlined in ( 5 ), the museum will dispose of these CD-R discs by the end of 2022.

7. Category A/B applicants whose works pass the National Jury screening are kindly requested to donate these works to the permanent collection of the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art and Design. Prize-winning U30+Student Category posters will be printed and added to the permanent collection of the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art and Design, and U30+Student Category posters which pass the National Jury screening will be archived as a part of IPT exhibition records.

8. Category A/B submissions should NOT be framed, matted or mounted. Please carefully pack submissions for mailing.

9. The organizer will not be held responsible for posters or CD-Rs that are lost or damaged in transit. If the organizer is unable to access data on a CD-R, or if the data is found to contain a virus, the digital submission will be deemed invalid.

10.Postage and all other incidental expenses are to be defrayed by the applicant.

Applicants are asked to label their packages as “Printed matter, no commercial value.”

In the case that additional shipping charges such as customs duties are incurred, the applicant will be responsible for these costs. ( Customs duties will only be incurred if the total given value on a shipping invoice is 10,000 JPY or higher. )

If the organizer is asked to pay these fees, it may decline to accept the package.

11. If you are sending your submission from overseas, please clearly indicate “PRINTED MATTER – NO COMMERCIAL VALUE” on your package.

12. The museum will directly contact applicants whose submissions have been selected for exhibition or awarded a prize.

The results of the National Jury screening will be announced in early March 2021, and prize recipients will be announced in mid-May 2021. These dates changed.

13.In the case that a poster is believed to infringe upon the copyright of another individual or group, or if a U30+Student Category applicant is found to have misrepresented his/her age or any eligibility, the organizing committee and the organizer reserve the right to remove the poster from exhibition and retract any prize awarded even after notification has been made.
