2023 GDA USER INTERFACE AWARD
There can be no doubt about the fact that USER INTERFACE design is both an art and a science, and like both, the subject also needs a great amount of talented skill.
Everytime we come across an item of present day technology, the way human beings interact with that tech is vital to its success or failure. Understanding how a smart phone works, an app or more complex machine is controlled is critical to how that product is received. In the life sciences and medical world, the interface between the medical staff and the apparatuses they have can mean the difference between life and death.
A car used to be a perfect example of mechanical interface. Almost anyone could get into a car and drive it safely through gearing and the controls. Now electric vehicles need much more individual learning – meaning of course that the digital interface has not caught up with the universality of the old mechanical interface.
So in this award, we are signaling a new approach to UI and UX. Keep it is simple and as understandable as possible, across cultures, age groups, genders and language barriers. Let us see you and reward your ideas and dreams.
