Taoyuan Airport Special Award

Taoyuan Airport Special Award – The entry must be a smart airport application to enhance passenger experience or operational management efficiency. Using 5G, Wi-Fi6, big data, blockchain, Internet of Things, biometrics, AR/VR, AI, and innovative passenger experience, to propose future smart application services.

Please put your registration number ( you will receive one after you sign up on our website ) as your file name when you upload ( ex. C200001.pdf )
Make sure to explain your product/solutions’ innovativeness, technology readiness, business potential and plans for sustainable development in your proposal

Video presentation

Within 3 minutes, please provide the link after you upload to any digital video platform ( YouTube, vimeo…etc. )

Criteria for short-list selection

Innovativeness( 20% )

Does this product/ solution solve or improve an existing problem?
Are there similar products/ solutions available in the market?

Technology readiness( 30% )

Is the proposal currently achievable?
Does the team have the relevant technology expertise and knowledge to develop this product/ solution?

Business Potential( 30% )

Does this product/ solution have enough market relevance and business potential for future growth?

Sustainable development( 20% )

Could this product/ solution enable sustainable development in smart cities?

A higher score will be given if the work is better developed and entails higher feasibility of commercialization.

＊The exact number of awards and the amount of the prize money will be conditioned by the sponsorship and the number of participants of the year＊

＊On the basis of the worth of the prize or payment, an income tax shall be withheld pursuant to the provisions stipulated in the Income Tax Act and relevant regulations ( “Standards of Withholding Rates for Various Incomes” stipulates that for prizes or payment from contests and games won by chance, a 10% or 20% of the full payment is withheld. ) The withheld tax amount from the recipient of the prize or payment is to be made in accordance to the pertaining tax regulations of the same year, to which the recipient may not challenge.
