2021 IIDA ANNA HERNANDEZ&LUNA TEXTILES VISIONARY AWARD
Recognizing a woman who has recently established an interior design or product design business and is making a difference in her profession.
Eligibility
Women entrepreneurs with a business or firm specializing in interior design or product design that have been in business between 3 and 10 years are encouraged to apply. This fund was established to celebrate Anna Hernandez ( pictured above ), the visionary founder and president of Luna Textiles.
Important Dates
The Anna Hernandez/Luna Textiles Visionary Award is awarded annually and is funded by the Anna Hernandez/Luna Textiles Education Fund.

COMPETITION GUIDELINES
Application Requirements
All applications must be completed electronically. No hard copy applications will be accepted. If any of the following items are missing, your application will not be reviewed. Any additional materials will be removed and not considered.
Written Component
- Statement describing your firm or business, maximum 100 words
- Statement documenting the progress and growth of your firm or business since inception, maximum 350 words
- Statement of your overall contributions to the interior design profession, maximum 350 words
- Description of your experience as an entrepreneur in the industry, maximum 150 words
- Description of your work mentoring others in the industry, maximum 150 words
- Description of what you would likely use the monetary award for, maximum 150 words
Video Component
A brief video in which you, in your own words, describe your firm and your approach to success
Letters of Recommendation
Three ( 3 ) separate letters of recommendation in PDF file format and saved individually must be included
Judging
A select committee of design professionals will review the submissions and select one winner to be notified in April, 2021.
Prize
The 2021 Anna Hernandez/Luna Textiles Visionary Award is one $5,000 cash prize to be presented to a recipient in spring 2021. The winner will receive official digital assets, and recognition on IIDA.org, social media channels, and in an official press release distributed to leading industry outlets and media partners.
